What’s New at LCS

We made it through week 2! I’m happy and proud to report that students are adapting into their new routines very well. We’re continuing to review basic classroom/school expectations. We also participated in bus safety and practiced bus evacuation on Wednesday afternoon. Thank you to bus driver, Kevin for showing and talking with us about appropriate bus safety and behavior.

Students also started their AIMS web testing. This test shows us where each student is academically in reading and math. We will finish up testing mid-week. Thank you students for all your hard work!

Reminder: School pictures are Thursday, Sept. 9th. If you need an order form, contact Megan in the Office. You can order online at

I want to remind parents about our upcoming parent input meeting on Thursday, Sept. 16th at 6pm. We encourage all families to join us as we will discuss spring test scores, Title services, committee updates and host a question/answer session.

As some of you may have already heard, a former LCS team member and friend, Natasha Petersen, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 1st. Please keep the Petersen family in your thoughts. Mrs. Petersen touched the lives of many current and former students. We will take some time next week to remember and honor the admiring, funny, caring and amazing educator she will always be.

Kind Regards, Mrs. Clobes
