What’s New at LCS
This week we will wrap up MCA testing with 5th & 8th grade Science and any other make-up testing that needs to be completed. Thank you students for trying your best and adjusting to schedule changes this month. We will have a reward day towards the end of the school year to celebrate your hard work!
I would like to thank our LCS family (students/staff/parents) for supporting Ms. Sullivan through this difficult time. She appreciates all your kind words, cards, flowers and messages.
Yearbook order forms went home on Friday. If your family would like to order a yearbook, please return the slip and payment by Monday, May 10th. Students will receive their yearbooks by Friday, May 14th. If you did not receive an order form, please contact your child’s teacher.
LCS PROS would like to thank our students and families who participated in the Heggies pizza fundraiser. Together, we sold over 500 pizzas- nice job!! Pizzas will be delivered on Monday, April 26th (official pickup time is yet to be determined).
May 17th-21st, LCS will be celebrating Charter School Week & Teacher Appreciation Week. LCS staff are busy with planning Charter School Week and are excited to share the activities with the students. LCS PROS are looking for parent volunteers to help with teacher appreciation week. If you would like to provide a meal/snack or, if you have any other ideas of ways to honor our teachers, let any PROS member know. Thank you for your help with this!
Please continue to be cautious with COVID 19. If you or a family member are getting tested for COVID, please keep your children home until test results have been received. Our goal is to keep everyone healthy and safe so we can continue in-person learning for the remainder of the school year.
We are in the early stages of planning for the 2021/2022 school year. If you haven’t already, please let your child’s teacher know if you would like them enrolled for next school year. This helps with classroom and teacher planning. Thank you for your help with this!
LCS will be offering a FREE summer school program for Kindergarten-8th graders. The program will run 3 days per week beginning the end of June-the end of July (off the week of July 4th). Families must provide their own transportation. Any families that are interested in signing their students up, please contact your child’s teacher or the LCS Office. More details will be provided at the end of the regular school year.
Thank you for your continued support this school year. Please continue to follow the COVID-19 Decision Tree if you have any concerns or questions regarding your child’s health.
As usual, if you have any questions or concerns, please contact me.

We need at least 1 weeks notice to prepare materials/meals/technology/classrooms. If you have any questions, please contact the office.
