Welcome Quarter 4 & MCA Testing!
It’s hard to believe we’re entering our last quarter of the school year! We still have a jam packed two months of learning and fun left.
This week we welcome families in for Parent/Teacher conferences. If you don’t know your time or need to re-schedule, please contact your child’s teacher or the LCS Office. Parents/Guardians will also be getting their child’s 3rd quarter report card. If you are unable to attend conferences, we will send the report card home with your child.
Due to conferences this week, there will be NO tutoring after school on Tuesday or Thursday. There WILL be Makerspace on Tuesday.
This Thursday will be pizza pickup for those families that participated in the Heggies pizza fundraiser. Pick up will be from 3-6pm. All orders must be picked up during that time. There is no school on Friday, April 1st.
Starting the week of April 4th, students in grades 3rd-8th will be taking the MCA tests. We attached a calendar below that shows the dates and times each grade will be testing. Our PROS organization typically supplies gum, mints, smart snacks, etc. for test time. Any families who would like to make a donation of any of the above may do so. Donations can be brought to the LCS Office.
Lafayette Public Charter School and The Warehouse in Winthrop is sponsoring kids activities & movie on Sunday, April 3rd, from 1:00-3:00 for Grackle Days. At 3:15pm, there is a free movie (Clifford the Big Red Dog) that will be shown. If you are interested in helping with children’s crafts or games please let me know. This will take place at The Warehouse in Winthrop (formally the Winthrop bowling alley).
As always, contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
Kind Regards,
Mrs. Clobes
