What’s New at LCS
November is upon us and we’re excited to start 2nd quarter! Don’t forget, conferences are coming up on November 11th & 12th. Conference slips went home on Friday, Oct. 30th. Be sure to check your child’s folder for your time. If you’re unable to make your scheduled time, contact the office. There is no school for students or staff on Friday, Nov. 13th. We are still looking for substitute teachers/paras/food service/office help. If you know anyone that is interested, please direct them to the LCS Office at 507-228-8943. Thank you!
New School Board Members
Congratulations to our new LCS School Board members, Joshua Harrison & Mrs. Christine Manteufel. Welcome and thank you for your time and dedication to LCS.
Picture re-takes will be Friday, Nov. 6th at 8:30am. If you’re new to the school and would like to order pictures, have your child pick up an order form from the office.
REMINDER: Pre-K tuition is due the 1st of every month.
Lafayette Public Charter School is now accepting applications for a Technology Coordinator. This is a part-time position. Knowledge with SMART boards, Apple Products, website maintenance, basic troubleshooting, testing set-up and serving on the Technology committee is required.

Position Overview & Responsibilities
Responsible for working with students with disabilities in meeting the academic, behavioral and physical needs as identified in the goals, supports of services of the IEP in either an individual or small group setting under the direction of the special education, or classroom teacher; maintain confidentiality of student and family information as required under FERPA. Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-3 PM
Requirements & Qualifications
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) and two years of post-secondary education or successful completion of the ParaPro; ability to work with staff and an educational team to provide services to students with disabilities; previous experience in working with students or adults with disabilities preferred.
