Lafayette Public Charter School
October 25th-29th. 2021
What’s New at LCS
I hope everyone had an enjoyable and relaxing fall break. It’s hard to imagine that the last week of October is upon us.
Be sure to watch student folders on Wednesday, Oct. 27th as you will be getting your conference day and time. We try our best to accomodate your 1st choice. If your given day or time does not work, contact your child’s teacher or the LCS Office to reschedule.
On Thursday, we welcome pre-K families & community members to our first Community Coffee of the year. It begins at 2:00 with a small program followed by refreshments.
Friday marks the end of the 1st quarter and our first Student Council Day. Student council has been working very hard coordinating the “fall festival themed” afternoon of fun and students are very excited!
I would like to welcome our new members to the LCS School Board. Teacher representatives, Ashley Walters & Barb Wenninger, parent representative, Courtney Wyczawski and Community Member, Colin Hoffman. Welcome & thank you for your time and dedication representing LCS!
As always, contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
LCS is missing a novel that was used in 6th-8th grade English last school year; The lightening Theif . Please check your home libary and return it to LCS if found. Thank you!
LCS PROS is hosting a holiday RADA Cutlery Fundraiser beginning, Monday, Oct. 18th-Monday, Nov. 29th. These products make great holiday gifts! Profits from the fundraiser will help support our PROS activities. Students & families will be able to sell RADA products using the catalog and order forms or by using our organizations link. Checks should be made out to LCS PROS. Online ordering is a very simple option. You can view the catalog and pay right away. Online orders are shipped directly to you and orders submitted to the school will have to be picked up by Dec. 16th. Order forms & payments are due Nov. 29th.
LCS PROS will earn 40% profit from all sales. The profits will go directly back to our students!
Thank you to the families and community members who donated produce to our food program. The students have enjoyed the fresh produce for lunch, snack & agriculure class.
