What’s New at LCS

clobes@lafayettecharter.k12.mn.us

October is off to a great start at LCS! This week is a short week with MEA fall break (Thursday & Friday- no school). Use this break to enjoy time with your family and relax. We will resume school on Monday (Oct. 25th) which brings us to only a week left in this 1st quarter. Make sure you’re checking JMC or in contact with your child’s teacher in regards to homework. If your child has missed any days of school, make sure all missing work is in by Friday, Oct. 29th.

We are seeing and hearing about a lot of different illnesses floating around. Remember to keep your child home if they aren’t feeling well. Our goal is to keep all students and staff healthy & safe. Thank you for your cooperation!

LCS is looking for individuals who would like to sub as a paraprofessional, food service, office and teaching staff. Individuals are eligible to sub as a teacher as long as they hold a 4 year degree in any area. We are short on substitutes in the area and if more than 1 teacher or staff member is absent, we would have to close school.  If you’re interested, contact me.

We are celebrating Grandparents Day on Wednesday, Oct. 20th. School doors will open at 2:20 and the program will begin at 2:30 in the gym. Grandparents/parents are welcome to go to the gym right away. After the program, parents are allowed to take their children with them. Please sign out with your child’s teacher.

As always, contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

Kind Regards,

Mrs. Clobes
