What’s New at LCS
petersen@lafayettecharter.k12.mn.us
I hope everyone has relaxed into the swing of things by now. I know I can feel the familiar rhythm of the day settling down as school takes on its usual routines. This week we have been busy with NWEA testing. This is new to our 2nd graders but they seem to be taking it in stride.
SCHOOL BOARD OPENINGS
The LCS School Board is excited to announce that it has an opening for a new member. This is a wonderful opportunity to have your voice heard and to have an impact on your child(’s) school.
Please consider running for school board. If you are interested notify Natasha Petersen at petersen@lafayettecharter.k12.mn.us.
PROS
Parents Reaching Out for Students (PROS) is a non-profit organization led by parents and teachers of LCS. PROS was created to help promote and en- hance the school district through events, and to include fundraising involving students, parents, and community. The PROS committee meets the second Tuesday of every month. All are welcome to attend. There are so many things that we are able to do at this school as a direct result of the fundraising efforts of the PROS team. One of the greatest benefits to students is transportation costs of field trips and the field trip as well. If you would like to get involved in PROS, Parents Reaching Out for Students, please contact the school.
