STEAM and Makerspace

Lafayette Charter School provides resources to create an environment where students engage in hands on projects to design, build, tinker, experiment, modify, solve problems and learn valuable life skills.

Free bussing

Lafayette Charter School provides free bussing to students in our area.


With a computer lab, iPads and classroom computers, LCS helps kids to learn from the past and be prepared for a technology based future.


With all-school concerts and weekly music classes, LCS trains and encourages students to express themselves musically in the world around them.

Physical Education

Lafayette Charter School believes in helping individuals become physically fit, develop character, learn social and physical skills, and become knowledgeable about life-long sports and activities.


All students in grades Pre-8 have the opportunity to experience our greenhouse and learn about agriculture and the growing world around them.

Stable families are a cornerstone of a strong Minnesota. The Minnesota Department of Human Services helps keep children safe and provides families with supports to care for their children. This includes child protection services, out-of-home care, permanent homes for children, child support, food assistance programs, child care services and children’s mental health services.
