What’s New at LCS

Thank you

This week I would like to recognize the Lafayette Lions for their amazing support of our school. Over the years they have donated many items to our school and this year is no exception. We are so fortunate to have their support. Many of you may have noticed the extreme decrease in our snack prices. That was due to the Lafayette Lions who supplemented the cost of snack so that we could offer a nutritious and affordable snack to all families. Not only are they helping to feed student tummies they also contributed to feeding student minds and physical well-being. They provided us with document cameras for several classrooms and brand-new gym mats for Mrs. Wenninger’s awesome PE classes. They also provided motors for Mr. Johnson’s STEM class.  All of us at LCS want to extend our sincerest gratitude to the Lafayette Lions for feeding our tummies, our minds, and our physical well-being.

On a personal note I would also like to extend my thanks to the Lafayette Lions. As many of you know I was honored to be the beneficiary of a pancake breakfast to help off-set my medical bills due to cancer. The Lafayette Lions gave a very generous donation in support. I still tear up when I think of it as well as all of the support I have received from many of you.

Lastly, I need to thank the staff and students at LCS. Their support and help have been invaluable. I feel so fortunate to be able come to a place that feels like an extension of family. A place where students smile and staff is there to help and encourage. We have the very best students and staff of any school around and for that I am grateful.
