What’s New at LCS
Welcome back to school and to 2020. I hope that everyone had a blessed and relaxing break!
LCS is very fortunate to have the support of many businesses and community members from the surrounding area. I’d like to send out a special “thank you” to Citizens Bank and you- the families/friends of LCS students.
THANK YOU Citizens Bank for the donation of hats and mittens. Your donation ensures that our kids are properly bundled for the chilly winter days.
Secondly, THANK YOU to all parents, grandparents, relatives, friends who donated envelopes of money during the school year and at the Winter Music Concert. Those envelopes help our PROS committee fund field trips, classroom materials, mulch for the playground and any other school activities.
LCS PROS is looking for 2 volunteers to help with BINGO at Dave’s Place in Lafayette from 1:45-4pm on January 18th, 2020. Contact the office or Mrs. Reinhart if interested.
LCS PROS (Parents Reaching Out for Students) is beginning to gear up for this year’s silent and live auction fundraiser on Sunday, March 15th. This is the biggest fundraiser of the school year for PROS and the proceeds go directly to supplement classroom and school wide needs. We need your help and there’s many ways you can help- from volunteering to donating items. If you are crafty and willing to make something (mittens, woodwork items, canned goods or anything else) it would be greatly appreciated. Another great idea would be a theme basket filled with different items: movie night, baking, children’s games, Barbie dolls and /or clothes or trucks. You could also donate a service for the auction as in a dessert of the month, cleaning a house, babysitting and/or making a specialty meal for 8 persons (German meal, Italian meal or American meal). If you are interested in other ways in helping for the auction please let us know. The PROS Committee thanks you greatly!!
Heggies Pizza Fundraiser
We encourage families to participate as this is a fundraiser for PROS. Order forms and payment are due back to school on Tuesday, January 28th. Pizza pickup will be Thursday, Feb. 13th from 3:30-6:30pm. Pizza’s MUST be picked up on that date due to lack of freezer space at school.
